Open and inspect the PSD

Use File → Open in the workspace. Select a copy and confirm that the visible layers, fonts and image edges look right. An export uses the rendered document, so an import problem should be caught before conversion.

Export the visible result as PNG

Choose File → Export → Export As and complete the PNG download. Save it with a descriptive name. Download the actual image rather than capturing a screenshot of the editor.

Check dimensions and transparent pixels

Open the downloaded PNG outside the editor. Inspect its width and height, its edges and its appearance on light and dark backgrounds. A white background layer in the PSD is different from empty transparent pixels.

Keep the PSD if you might revise it

PNG does not carry the editable layer structure of the PSD. Retain the working PSD alongside the PNG, especially if text, masks or layout may need another change.

Questions, answered.

Does converting PSD to PNG keep layers?

No. PNG is a flat output image. Keep a separate PSD when you need later edits.

Does this upload the PSD for conversion?

The hosted editor processes it in your browser. There is no PSD conversion upload endpoint.

Can the PNG look different from my original file?

It can if fonts or other document features render differently. Check the canvas before exporting and compare the downloaded image.
